Routine

We get the basics right—from regular checkups to glasses and contact prescriptions—anything to make sure you’re seeing as well as you can.

Comprehensive Routine Eye Exams for Adults and Children

Your eyes need check-ups, too. We’ll take a thorough peep at your peepers to make sure your vision is the best it can be. Routine eye exams also reveal minuscule signs of bigger issues that aren’t yet obvious to you.

Dry Eye Screening, Treatment, and Management

Dry eyes can result from a range of factors from diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis to thyroid disorders and deficiencies in vitamin A. No matter what the cause, dry eyes diminish your quality of life on a daily basis.

Our doctors use the most current treatment method to relieve dry eyes. TrueTear technology utilizes a device that causes your eyes to produce their own natural tears by stimulating a nerve in the nasal cavity. Punctual Plugs are tiny devices that are inserted into the tear ducts to block drainage. This increases the eye’s tear film and surface moisture, allowing eyes to stay moist.

Glasses Prescriptions and Fitting

Finding the right glasses can be harder than it sounds. Our doctors thoroughly assess your vision and help navigate you through the almost endless options to find the perfect pair of eye glasses.

Contact Lens Fitting

Contact lens technology is constantly becoming more advanced. At Cheatham Eye Care, we stay up-to-date on the best and latest contact technology to provide you with all-day comfort.

Scleral contacts

These lenses are a surface prosthesis that creates a tear-filled vault over the cornea. Sclera lenses may be used to treat a variety of eye conditions, many of which do not respond to other forms of treatment.

Soft contacts

Traditional soft contact lenses that mold to the shape of the patient’s eye to help correct farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism.

Rigid gas permeable contacts

A more firm style of contact that allow oxygen to reach your eye and are more resistant to deposits and bacteria.
