About Us

Dr. Harlan Sears first opened what is now Cheatham Eye Care more than 40 years ago. When Sears sought to retire, he entrusted the practice to Dr. David Cheatham, who took over in 2003.

Since then, Cheatham Eye Care has evolved considerably, expanding into the building next door to the original clinic and supporting a full staff who work seamlessly together to provide the best care for their patients.

Cheatham Eye Care practices the full range of optometric care—including routine eye exams, emergency acute procedures, and disorders stemming from chronic diseases like diabetes. The field of optometry is constantly expanding, and our physicians work diligently to stay up to date on the latest technologies and best practices.

Our staff prides itself on compassion and creating a welcoming environment for you and your family. We treat each patient with dignity and respect, and we work to find solutions based on your unique condition and situation. Even if it means referring you to an outside specialist or physician, we’ll be with you every step of the way.

Cheatham Eye Care—the difference is clear. Schedule an appointment today to see for yourself.
